On the 26th day of october 1990, Biyinzika Enterprises Ltd was incorporated in Uganda as a family owned company with limited liability.
The primary business of the company is breeding for the production of broiler and layer day old chicks. Biyinzika Enterprises Ltd has since grown to include other significant lines of business like the feed mill which produces poultry feeds for the farm operations and the grain storage facilities (silos). The company also produces UNIMIX used by both local and international humanitarian organisations like WFP, International Red Cross and Action Against hunger among others.
In its infancy, the company relied on imported chicks to sell to the market. After two years the company was able to start local production using imported eggs. This ensured steady supplyof day old chicks. In 1996, the company acquired its own incubators and in 1998, production of fertilised eggs at its breeding farm started. This enabled the company to sell fresh and healthy chicks to the market.
