In 2000 grain storage silos were installed to store maize and Soya. This storage facility enables the company to benefit from the commodity prices which are usually low at the time of harvest. The company purchase as much as can be stored because these prices are higher during the off season The installed storage capacity was determined based on the needs that may arise in the future even taking into consideration expansion prospects. The facility has a storage capacity is 4000 metric tones which is an excess of the 2000 tones utilised per year.
Manufacture of fortified food In 2001 extruders to make Soya blend were installed with an operating capacity of 20 metric tonnes per day.
We currently produce specific food products such as unimix using our own extruder machines for the World Food Programme in their upcountry feeding campaign.
